If you feel tension headache, applying an ice pack or cold compress at the base of the neck can ease the pain. You should also maintain your blood sugar levels by eating smaller yet more frequent meals. This will help you to ease away headaches in the future. Try to get a massage. It will surely ease your pain on the neck and shoulders. Resting in a dark room and allowing you to practice having a deep breathing can also do wonders. If you like you may also take warm bath or shower to improve your feeling.
